The Verses of Arahant Vāraṇa (237-239)

237. Whoever among humans kills beings, declines in this world and the next.

238. But whoever with a mind of loving kindness has pity on all living beings, such a person collects a lot of merit.

239. One should learn this well-preached Dhamma. One should associate with great recluses. That person always lives in solitude and trains in calming the mind.

These verses were said by Arahant Vāraṇa.
