This is what I heard from the Blessed One. Those days, the Blessed One was living in the province of Sāvatthī, at Jeta’s Park, at Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery. One day, Venerable Sāriputta was sitting not far from the Blessed One, his legs crossed, his body held upright, having set mindfulness to the meditation object. Then, on realizing the benefit of liberation, the Blessed One spoke the following inspired verses:
“A rocky mountain is well-settled and unshaken. The monk who’s delusion is destroyed is like that. He is not agitated.”
