The Verses of Arahant Dhammika (303-306)

303. Dhamma can truly protect the one who practices it. When Dhamma is well practiced, it brings happiness. The benefit of practising the Dhamma well is this: the one who practises the Dhamma doesn’t go to a bad destination.

304. Dhamma practise and wrong practise don’t have equal results. Wrong practice takes beings to hell. Dhamma practice takes beings to heaven.

305. Therefore, one should desire the Good Dhamma. One should rejoice in the Dhamma of the founder of the Great Path, the one with an unshaken mind. The wise disciples with the best refuge, who stand in the Dhamma of the best teacher, can reach Nibbāna.

306. Sensual pleasures are like a wound. He uprooted the root of those sensual pleasures. He cut off the net of craving. His journey in saṁsāra is ended. He is devoid of the stain of craving like the shining moon without stains on a full moon night.

These verses were said by Arahant Dhammika.
