TheragāthāThag 4.3
The Verses of Arahant Sabhiya (275-278)

275. Many people don’t know that we all will die one day. But if one understands that he will die one day, his quarrels would come to an end.

276. Those who don’t understand this reality live like they will never die. But if one understands this reality, he will live freed from getting sick with defilements among the people who are sick with defilements.

277. Through slacking practice, defiled observances, and impure celibacy one can’t get a great benefit.

278. If one doesn’t have respect toward his fellow monks, he is as far from the true Dhamma as the sky is from the earth.

These verses were said by Arahant Sabhiya.
