TheragāthāThag 4.9
The Verses of Arahant Candana (299-302)

299. That day, my former wife, decorated with jewelry and ornaments, surrounded by servant girls, came up to me carrying her son upon her hip.

300. When I saw my son’s mother decorated with ornaments, well dressed, coming to me, she seemed to me like a snare put by Māra.

301. Based on this incident, wise consideration arose in me. The danger of sensual pleasures was clear to me. Disenchantment with life was established in my mind.

302. Based on this same incident, my mind was liberated from all defilements. See the excellence of this Dhamma! I too attained the Triple Knowledge. The Buddha’s path has been fully followed by me.

These verses were said by Arahant Candana.
