387. If a monk doesn’t have respect towards his fellow monks, he will decline in the Dhamma, like a fish in shallow water.
388. If a monk doesn’t have respect towards his fellow monks, he will not grow in the Dhamma, like a rotten seed in a field.
389. If a monk doesn’t have respect towards his fellow monks, he will go far away from Nibbāna in the path of the King of the Dhamma, the Buddha.
390. If a monk has respect towards his fellow monks, he will succeed in the Dhamma, like a fish swimming happily in a large lake.
391. If a monk has respect towards his fellow monks, he will grow in the Dhamma, like a good seed in a field.
392. If a monk has respect towards his fellow monks, he is very close to Nibbāna in the path of the King of the Dhamma, the Buddha.
